Timo Sarpaneva was a Finnish designer and visual artist who was associated with the Iittala glassworks from 1950 as a designer of vases, candlesticks and drinking glasses. In the 1950s, Timo Sarpaneva became internationally known for his glass sculptures, later made into sculptures up to five meters high in cubic shapes with sharp contours.
